A fitness device worn on the body by persons at health clubs, physical therapy institutions or other athletic training facilities that monitors the workouts and progress of said person. Persons may use the device individually or with the assistance of a personal trainer. The device utilizes bar code scan technology, whereas the user points the device at a designated workout machine or other rehabilitation aid so it can read a custom bar code sticker placed on each machine. Upon a successful scan, the device will offer users the ability to track their activity, progress and/or view an instructional video of how to properly utilize the functionality of that machine to the best of their ability. The device features touch screen technology which is used by the user to input data for tracking purposes which consist of (but are not limited to): BMI, date and time of workout, calendar views for planning purposes, goal-set application, number of repetitions counter, weight increment counter, ability to customize a variance in workout difficulty, calorie counter, food consumption counter and timed runs. Each training facility will be fit with a custom server with a secure, non-broadcasted wireless network. The user's device will be synced with the network so data will be synced in real-time and stored in a database on the local server. That server will be connected to the internet where the data will be periodically synced with a central server housed at an off-site location. Users have the ability to access their information via a dedicated website that compiles and displays their results data using charts, graphs and other tracking tools for each individual user. Users also have the ability to share their workouts with various social networking sites. Each user has the ability to utilize this device and software technology (individually or with the assistance of a personal trainer) to customize future workout plans or simply monitor daily workout routines
