Electronic data-acquisition and control devices for industrial manufacturing use, namely, cleanroom-rated portable computer hardware comprised primarily of microprocessors, memory, wired and wireless communication interfaces, power-management circuitry, and rechargeable batteries, sold as a unit with embedded operating software, for connecting to and interoperating with manufacturing-plant machinery, sensors, samplers, and instruments to collect, store, process, and transmit operational data and to execute user-defined control commands; computer software for operating and configuring the foregoing hardware sold as a component of the device; firmware for device security, data integrity, and communication; and housings and enclosures specially adapted for use in cleanroom and other manufacturing-plant environments; all of the foregoing for use in component manufacturing systems.
