Fenestration product radio frequency identification (RFID) tracking system for use in fenestration product manufacturing facilities for RFID tracking and monitoring locations of fenestration products, namely, insulating glass window and door assemblies, and product transportation carts used for moving such fenestration products in a manufacturing facility, the fenestration product RFID tracking system comprising a plurality of product tracking gateways, each comprised of an upright column for placement on a floor of the manufacturing facility, and an RFID reader and an antenna for scanning, reading, decoding, and transmitting information from RFID labels affixed to said fenestration products and product transportation carts, and the fenestration product RFID tracking system further including hand-held RFID readers, printers for printing of RFID labels, and associated downloadable system software for tracking and monitoring locations of fenestration products and the product transportation carts in the manufacturing facility, all sold as a unit to manufacturers of such fenestration products, the manufacturer being able to configure the fenestration product RFID tracking system as desired with respect to the number and type of components purchased and the tracking, monitoring and reporting features provided
