Downloadable computer software and firmware for vision-based navigation, positioning, and guidance of unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft in GPS-denied and GPS-degraded environments, namely, software and firmware that use computer vision, image recognition, and terrain matching to determine vehicle position and heading by matching real-time camera imagery against stored two-dimensional and three-dimensional reference map databases; all of the foregoing for use in the defense, aerospace, and national security fields, and none of the foregoing being software for underground construction, horizontal directional drilling, ground penetrating radar, or the monitoring, management, or operation of agricultural, construction, mining, forestry, landscaping, or earth-moving equipment or vehicles.
