The prepaid expense card is accepted by ALL merchants who accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, and other, and can be used for company approved expenses such as airfare, hotel, car rental, employee meals, business meals, and other company approved expenses. The prepaid expense card can be used on multiple payment systems - ATM, POS (point of sale), credit, debit, stored value card, cash stations, licensed retailers, and other card systems. Depending on card platform used, prepaid expense cards can be "loaded" and "unloaded" or spending limit "increased" and decreased" with company funds. For example, company funds are loaded when manager approves business travel estimate and unloaded day after returns from business trip. Prepaid expense cards are issued by banks to small, medium, and large companies that meet bank requirements, issued to companies who want to automate expense report process, and issued to employees who use as payment for approved to company approved expenses. Prepaid card can be issued by the company to anyone and does not require the card holder to have a checking account with the issuing bank or have the bank perform a credit check to use. The prepaid expense card is intended to replace paper money, traveler's checks, credit cards, and money order.
