The Green Cube is a cubicle, workstation, office, meeting room, home office or any workspace that utilizes hybrid renewable power sources (solar, wind, ac grid, energy storage/battery) to provide a seamlessly integrated localized central ac and dc power backplane. The proprietary universal power backplane is used to power dc loads (e.g. solid state/LED task lighting and lighting sensors, work space automation, computer, laptops, speakers, portable electronics, personal cooling and heating control and sensors, LCD monitors and others) and typical ac loads (coffee makers, desktop computers, office machines, florescent lighting and desk lamps, monitors and others). The Green Cube is a new technology for powering traditional AC loads, and new dc electronics, lighting and technologies with both grid and clean energy within a typical work environment
