CPQAAS Trademark

CPQ is a well established acronym in CRM software. It stands for "Configure, Price, Quote". We are what is called a SaaS provider (Software as a Service). The expression "as a Service" is understood to mean that the solution being provided is accessed and delivered via the Internet, as opposed to being installed on the client/user's computer system. Wikipedia provides a good explanation and many examples of recognized "as a Service" variations under their "As a Service" article. Telecom and Data information service providers are increasingly dividing product offerings into small discrete services and describing them as "X as a Service". Our company has a unique offering whereby we offer CPQ functionality as a service, and this application is to trademark this descriptor as our research suggests that we are the only company using this term and the only company offering this type of service. Masterstream offers CPQ as a Service, or "CPQaaS". The distinction between CPQ (common term) and CPQaaS is that we deliver CPQ functionality outside of our graphical user interface through customer consumable APIs. This allows a customer to integrate our APIs into their own environments and leverage the full CPQ capability, thereby making the CPQ a "service" rather than an application
