CITY BEAUTIFUL 2120 Trademark

Our mission is to beautify the City of Red Wing, Minnesota, and surroundings thereto, in order that its people may lead safe, peaceful and prosperous lives, in shared appreciation of tolerance, diversity, and community, through the promotion, creation and celebration of the arts in the century to come. City Beautiful 2120 (2120) is a Red Wing based, arts inspired, visionary program richly endowed with ideas but no funding needs for its organizational structure or sustainability. By design, 2120 does not compete with existing arts based programs for private or public funding of their programmatic needs. 2120 celebrates, promotes and prioritizes the power of ideas over the power of funding. Ideas arising from the people themselves encourage collaboration, cooperation, inclusiveness, shared vision, and civic virtue in the artistic realization of ideas in public spaces and places. 2120 nevertheless holds that funding for the creation and display of art work is the responsibility of the authors who propose it and may include public or private funding requests, crowdsourcing, subscriptions, donations of materials and time, public solicitation, bake sales, busking, carwashes, silent auctions, charitable gambling and pretty much anything else that is legal. 2120 is open to innovative funding ideas in the firm belief that it cannot possibly have thought of all of them
